As an Information Technology (IT) Specialist, you are a valued member of a dynamic team. Serves as an IT Specialist in the Office of Systems for an Associate Commissioner component. Responsible for planning, designing, and implementing new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations. Functions include performing needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved applications; conducting feasibility studies and trade-off analyses; defining systems scope and objectives; developing overall functional and technical specifications, and detailed functional programmatic requirements; evaluating and recommending sources for systems components; and performing validation of programmatic systems, ensuring the integration and implementation of application, databases, networks, and related systems.
This position is located in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Systems (DCS), Office of Disability Systems at SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD.
