Summary
Help with all communications activities supporting NRECA International that will help establish a new and strong communications program--a new and exciting development for NRECA. This will include (but not limited to)
Write/draft website content, press releases, articles
Establish relevant lists of contacts (media and influencers) that should/will receive information about NRECA International
Monitor and produce reports for online/print publications for issues relevant to NRECA International
Monitor and produce analytics reports for social media sites
Respond to the NRECA International staff''s ad-hoc communications needs
Organize and archive video/photo galleries
Purpose and Mission
Draft content for the International website, and other relevant publications (i.e. StraightTalk, RE Magazine)
Post pre-approved content for social media outlets
Monitor social media and other media outlets for issues relevant to NRECA International
Archive and organize existing video/photos from various international projects
Identify photos for web content or media use
Work with NRECA International staff/GR staff working on international program issues, with any writing/communications support requests
Requirements and Qualifications
Journalism/Communications degree program with a interest in International Development
Solid writing skills
Strong interest in international development
Strong organizational skills
Comfortable with social media
Strong interpersonable skills
Ability to work with grace under pressure
This is an intern position.
3.0 or above GPA required and Must be a rising junior or senior
Dates: May 19th thru August 8th, 2014
Wages: $17 per hour

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
