This position is located in Region 2, on the White River National Forest. This position is co-located at both the Aspen Ranger District, in Aspen, CO, and the Sopris Ranger District in Carbondale, CO. Duties will be perfomed at both locations on different workdays.
As the Natural Resource Specialist (Recreation), responsibilities include recreation program management, both developed and dispersed; technical and program support in recreation, trails, roads, and special uses program; travel management implementation; volunteer coordination; and interpretive plan development.
