A successful candidate in this role will have the following
Experience:
- Manage raw material and finished product inventories to conform to customer demand, forecasts, and warehouse capacity, including replenishment, physical inventories, and inventory planning.
- Maintain and improve purchasing policies and procedures to facilitate the most economical and expeditious method of procuring materials. Analyze sourcing options and support major negotiations to reach defined objectives. Monitor business levels and quantify annual cost savings.
- Monitor scorecard measures as defined by management, then identify potential areas of concern and take corrective action as necessary. Perform statistical analysis to maximize purchasing opportunities.
In Addition to these, the candidate may also:
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of trading product part numbers and standard costs.
- Maintain inventory control systems to track purchase orders, inventory, requirements and locations.
- Manage Bills of Material data for kits in ERP system
Working hours: 8-5
Qualifications for this position include:
--2-5 years purchasing and inventory control experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment required.
--Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional purchasing/inventory control work experience required.
--Professional purchasing/inventory control certification a plus.
--Quality system experience preferred.
--Strong analytical, organizational and creative problem-solving skills required.
--Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
--Other important characteristics: ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work independently, prioritize workload and problem-solve with a customer-centric attitude and approach.
--Strong basic math skills required.
