Mechanical Design Engineer
A Mechanical Design Engineer needed for a permanent job position with our manufacturing client in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Client is a manufacturer of pneumatic control components utilized in applications across industries, from medical to agriculture to microelectronic. This is a permanent job position.
The Mechanical Design Engineer must act independently, with confidence and a sense of urgency, while handling a variety of engineering project challenges. This candidate will lead new product development projects and represent the Engineering Department with external customers and internal production teams. There will be occasional travel to meet program objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent
5
years of experience in mechanical design
Record of successful new product development and project leadership
Experience with APQP, FMEA, GD&T and statistical problem solving tools
Excellent conceptual skills
Good communications skills
Solid modeling experience in Solid Edge or similar CAD toolEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
