Our staff of professionals includes specialists in botany, wetland science, wildlife biology, soil science, fisheries biology, hydrogeology, hydrology, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, permitting, planning, project management, GIS, and information management. We have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects that may include endangered species assessments, habitat restoration, wetland characterizations, and water resources management, as well as reporting and permitting.

Your Duties:
Current project work includes large- and small-scale wetland delineations, natural community mapping, vernal pool assessments, rare, threatened, and endangered species surveys, environmental permitting, and wetland mitigation/restoration. Compensation will depend upon the capabilities of the applicant.
This position requires the willingness to travel all over Maine, the Northeast and possibly further as opportunities arise. The successful candidate will be able to spend long days on foot in inclement weather over rugged terrain. Candidates should have a good sense of humor, flexibility with time and availability and good attention to detail. Primary function on projects will be to collect geographic position data with a Trimble GPS unit and assist an experienced wetland scientist on wetland delineations and other natural resource surveys.

Qualifications:
A completed bachelor's degree, preferably in an environmental discipline (or experience working/recreating in the outdoors)
A demonstrated interest in working outdoors in all types of conditions
High ethical standards for your professional work
Strong work ethic and a desire for your team to succeed, a sense of humor, and enthusiasm for field work
Attention to detail and attentive to safe work practices
Desire and ability to work long days in rugged field conditions
Willingness and ability to travel, including extended overnight travel, sometimes to remote locations.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
