Randstad is currently seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Manager/ Safety Manager for a meat manufacturing company in Denver, to administer all of the day-to-day Human Resources and Safety Operations for their plant facility. Ideal candidate will possess experience as a Human Resources Generalist and Safety Coordinator, with the ability to train and develop 150
employees in a bilingual manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
For Personnel:
- Recruit, interview and hire new employees
- Conduct new hire orientation and employee training
- Monitor employee absences, tardiness, etc., issue warnings and/or discipline if warranted
- Prepare and distribute Worker's Compensation paperwork
- Investigate employee complaints, conduct investigations as necessary
- Administer First Aid to injured workers
- Monitor Workers Compensation claims on daily and monthly basis
- Track and Administer leave of absences, including FMLA, ADA, Military, & Personal Leave
- Conduct Quality Circle meetings and follow-up with employee issues
- Respond to Unemployment issues; appear at hearings if needed
- Track sick and vacation time
- Oversee payroll related functions for facility
- Conduct quarterly safety meetings and manage safety program
- Manage communication initiatives and ESOP Communication and Education efforts
For OSHA/ Safety:
- Maintain OSHA 300 Log
- Coordinate forklift certification classes
- Coordinate annual hearing tests
- Head Safety Committee and chair monthly safety meetings
- Ensure Job Hazard Analysis are completed and updated
- Coordinate Bi-Annual plant evacuation drills
- Investigate and follow-up with on-the-job injuries
- Conduct department safety inspections per IIPP
- Conduct safety training per department as needed
- Schedule First Aid Training for required personell
Working hours: 8-5
Experience/Skills Required:
- Leadership Management Skills
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong understanding of Safety and Human Resources
- Microsoft Office XP or Newer
- E-Time/ADP Time Keeping System
Education/Experienced Desired:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Management position
- Protein experience is a bonus, but not mandatory
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Must be bilingual - written/verbal in Spanish
