Minimum Qualifications
Requires two years of college level course work in a computer related field and five years of information management related experience that includes installation and maintenance of computer workstations, printers, scanners, and other peripherals. Knowledge of and experience with various Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suites is needed. Additional computer related education, certification, or training may substitute for up to two years of the experience requirement. Individuals must have a valid drivers license or have the ability to travel from one location to another within the state on their own. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills are necessary. Need to be able to work independently or as a team member.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to individuals with A
certification, a bachelor's degree in a computer related field, and to individuals with IT experience in a health care setting.

Summary of Work
The individual in this position will function as an electronic communications specialist and support for future change to an electronic survey process for the Division of Health Facilities. Duties will include working with a variety of computer hardware devices, network and other software installation and support specific for the division, electronic multimedia devices and communication systems. Division staff and health care provider support and training on computer hardware and software will be an important function for the position. The position is based at the Bismarck office; however, occasional travel will be required.
Skills of system analysis and trouble resolution for computer hardware and software will be a major responsibility. Ability to master and teach software application to end-users is important. The individual will work with the management staff for the implementation and daily management of federally directed data and program application systems. Knowledge or experience with digital audiovisual equipment is helpful.
