Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for a full-time Civil Service position of Assistant Bookstore Manager in the University Union Bookstore. Qualified candidates must have: a Bachelors Degree or high school graduation (or equivalent) and four (4) years of experience in a commercial operation that included responsibility for both buying and selling. (Experience in a private or university-owned college bookstore may be substituted on the basis of one year of college bookstore experience for two years of college education or commercial experience.)
This position is responsible for opening and/or closing the bookstore, supervising student employees, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the appearance of the bookstore. Other duties include training and scheduling student employees, receiving merchandise, and keeping an accurate inventory of merchandise.
The applicant should have knowledge of point of sale computer systems, and be able to maintain the software applications.
Qualified candidates will be required to pass a Civil Service Examination. The minimum starting salary is $2606.00/month, but salary shall be commensurate with experience. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
