viaForensics is actively seeking a Mobile Security Analyst in our Chicagoland corporate office for our exciting, high-profile security projects that focus on the security of mobile apps. Collaborate with our expert global team of mobile security researchers!
This role will be responsible for performing mobile security analysis using best-of-breed tools and techniques, including viaLab. The ideal candidate is highly energetic and interested in working in a company with many responsibilities and opportunities to learn. In addition, this person must be willing to work flexible hours and open to occasional travel. This is a technical position that presents significant opportunity to do research, present at conferences, and pursue career advancement. Members of our R&D team have presented at DefCon, Black Hat, and RSA Conference, to name a few.
Position Responsibilities
Understand the strengths and weaknesses of security related to mobile apps, devices and operating systems
Utilize hacking and pen testing techniques to target mobile apps and Web services, and test their security
Examine transmitted and stored data for personally identifiable information (PII) and/or mobile application artifacts
Present specific intelligence on the data risk profile of applications when in actual use
Identify key strategies for remediation of vulnerabilities
Create technically sound and actionable reports for customers
Continuously monitor the state ofEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
