A well established, diversified and growing Phoenix company, is looking for a hands-on Controller, to manage the accounting operations of the organization. This is a key, high-profile role, in supporting this organization's growth.

Among the responsibilities of this position include:
Oversee the month-end and year-end close process
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals in a heavy cost environment
Ensure federal and local regulation compliance
Streamline and implement processes, policies and procedures, and internal controls
Prepare budgets, financial statements and P&L statements
Work with the IT external or internal team to bridge gaps in the accounting system
Facilitate external audit process
Cash management
Demonstrate leadership of associates
Professional and forward thinking contributor
Establish an open relationship with internal and external business partners
Create a succession environment to correspond with a growing organization

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
CPA preferred
Public Accounting Firm experience preferred
At least 4 years of hands-on accounting experience required including: budgets, financial statement preparation, general ledger, and month-end close
Heavy cost and unique billing experience required
Strong Excel skills required: Macro's, Pivot Tables & V-lookupsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
