Summary:
To assist the Controller in providing supervision and training for day to day activities within the Accounting Department to include: Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, third party reimbursement. To ensure that proper financial procedures and guidelines are followed in accordance with GAAP and Corporate Blue Book Policy and that financial/statistical information is recorded timely and accurately. Also responsible for coordinating decision support efforts, including cost accounting and contract modeling.
EDUCATIONAL/LICENSING:
Requires a BS/BA in Accounting, with a minimum of three years of experience in either public accounting or healthcare industry. CPA/MBA preferred but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Experience in a hospital or other healthcare organization. Knowledge of financial statements and general ledger reconciliation processes. Experience in financial analysis, budgets and forecasting. Knowledge of online computer systems, cost accounting systems and spreadsheet applications. Effective communication skills both orally and written. Problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective time management and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to perform effectively, both independently and with a team.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
