The Industrial Engineer (IE) will be an essential member of the Supply Chain team and will be responsible for leading key strategic initiatives from planning through implementation. Position will be responsible for managing and driving projects related to distribution and fulfillment network growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions/
Responsibilities:
Perform network and facility level analysis of operational data and metrics; provide recommendations based on analysis of key metrics that directly impact operational costs.
Identify and implement expense reduction opportunities specifically related to overall supply chain initiatives.
Evaluate and design facility layouts including storage rack, conveyor, automation, and other material handling solutions.
Lead change management processes with ability to translate recommendations into clear and precise functional requirements.
Perform root cause analysis and develop analytical tools to improve problem-solving processes.
Liaison with Merchants to forecast impact of key strategic initiatives on the distribution and fulfillment network.
Perform advanced analysis including process mapping, development of labor standards, simulation, statistical modeling, and process re-engineering.
Create best practices and standard operating procedures, develop and lead associated training.
Deliver projects on-time and on budget, including post implementation training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support as necessary.
Develop financial budgets and tracking associated with return on investment, growth, and maintenance projects.
Design, development, and implementation of operational reporting or dashboards, specifically related to key performance metrics or cost drivers.
Develop and lead cross-functional teams, specifically with Merchants, eCommerce Planning and Allocation, IT, Finance, Sourcing, Transportation, HR, and Operations teams.
Develop and support external partnerships with vendors, contractors, and consultants.
Assist in the development of contracts including scope of work definition, assumption justification, and operational requirements.
Provide consistent and timely communication with Supply Chain Executives, to present current status, acquire consensus of future needs and forecasts, and mitigate potential risk.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, with a can-do attitude.
Other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements/
Qualifications:
Required Experience and Skills
3 to 5 years work experience in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, Fulfillment Operations, or Supply Chain Engineering role.
Experience as an internal consultant or in an advisory role, with a proven ability to influence others without having direct control of individuals or teams.
Experience working with hourly Associates and salaried Executives in order to acquire necessary information and thorough understanding of process design requirements.
Process improvement and new process design experience with demonstrated ability to balance ergonomics, safety, efficiency, quality, and cost specific to each scenario.
Proven ability to understand degree of implemented changes and forecast upstream and downstream effects across the supply chain, organization, and end consumer.
End-to-end distribution and fulfillment operations knowledge.
Wide range of technology knowledge in the distribution and fulfillment landscape including WMS, OMS, WCS, and LMS applications.
Required Education & Competencies
Bachelors of Science degree from accredited university in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science or equivalent.
Strong understanding and ability to create and analyze productivity metrics, related to both efficiency and throughput of systems.
Thorough understanding of material handling equipment and application, specifically as it relates to a retail distribution environment.
Continuous improvement mindset and professional experience in one or more areas of quality engineering (TQM, Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, etc.).
Strong financial modeling and financial acumen, related to cost-benefit analysis and proven ability to accurately forecast real-world impact of investments as it relates to retail distribution environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively in various levels of the organization, i.e. large meeting facilitation, written and electronic communications.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, highly analytical and organized.
Advanced computer skills. Experience with: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Project, Outlook, Visio, Visual Basic, and PowerPoint), SQL, Minitab (or other statistical software), and CAD.
Highly self-motivated with a passion for driving results and achieving success.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
