Job Description
System Installation: Dedicated expert and certifications (such as Lenel On-Guard 1000-7000, BICSI Level 2 Copper/Fiber) will be needed for installation services to support TTO directed designs of all components utilized. Experience will include but not be limited to:
Installing, configuring and operating IDS, ACS and CCTV systems equipment,
Providing guidance and training to User personnel in operations procedures and techniques,
Advising and assisting in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation,
Participating in installation planning phases,
Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC),
Familiarity with EIA/TIA standards,
Familiarity with BICSI best practices.
Basic Qualifications
Must be able to make independent decisions in the field which impact meeting deadlines
Must meet customer requirements in addition to meeting NEC standards for all installation to include conduit capacity
Must be able to determine enclosure size and capacity requirements - enclosures house systems circuitry and circuitry power components and system cabling
Must have complete understanding of AC verses DC voltage to include drain and amperage draw
Must possess a knowledge of building ACS and IDS panels (I.E. Installation of circuit cards, Power distribution and Communications)
Ability to understand the facets of physical security by knowing security in-depth and having the technical ability to point out discrepancies and perform continuous risk analysis and suggests risk mitigation measures when found and recommend solutions to the customer
Prior knowledge of intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV devices
Desired skills
The ability to design, document and construct
To have a firm grasp and background in electronics (wiring of power conductors to support components), cable pulling, and conduit installation to include bending and fittings
Fiber Optics knowledge and terminations
