ABOUT THE COMPANY
My client is a leading service organization in the Engineering market; they are looking to hire a Project Accountant immediately due to growth. With a growing accounting and finance team, there is significant opportunity for growth and advancement within the department. The company boasts a team-oriented culture and provides its' employees with the tools and training necessary to perform.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF PROJECT ACCOUNTANT:
Verify and post vendor invoices and expense reports to projects
Prepare invoices on a monthly basis
Pull all necessary backup needed to go with invoices per the contract
Review prebills for any errors as to rates, contract terms
Make all necessary transfers and adjustment before invoicing per the PM instructions
Run the monthly variance reports and make any necessary budget adjustments to correct the variance or make necessary transfers of labor and or expenses
Monitor and audit the WIP report monthly. Make all necessary journal entries to clear up old balances
Setup/Validate new projects and submit them into the system
Work within and make changes to Adobe
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE PROJECT ACCOUNTANT:
Requirements:
3 years
in a project accounting role
Advanced Excel
BST and/ or Oracle Software Experience
Adobe or Bluebeam experience
Must have attention to detail and great follow up skills
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
