Position Description
As a Library Verification Engineer in the Foundation IP Audit & Release team you will verify and validate IO and standard cell IP libraries using the established verification methodology, automated tools, and utilizing engineering judgment. Additionally, you will support the distribution of verified Foundation IP libraries to ON Semiconductor Business Units and external customers. As you development knowledge and experience as a Library Verification Engineer you will evaluate, develop and enhance methods and models for the verification and validation of digital IP. You will be required to understand and become skilled in developing models delivered as part of a library, such as Liberty and HDL modeling, and working with industry standard tools that use the models.
Position Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
- Programming experience
- Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
Liberty (IEEE 1364) modeling
HDL modeling (Verilog, VHDL, Vital, etc)
Understanding of scripting languages such as PERL and TCL
General knowledge of ASIC Mixed Signal or Digital design using industry standard tools
Eldo/HSPICE/Spectre simulation
ATPG tool operation
Working knowledge of CMOS process technology
This position also requires the following:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently and interface effectively with engineers across divisions and remote locations
- Strong cooperative, interpersonal, and communication skills within a professional environment
