# Job Functions:
1. Manage and coordinate production activities within production and support engineering, procurement, maintenance, and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
2. Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and costs controls, and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of engines ordered.
3. Drive the daily continuous improvement process in production by getting each person to take initiative to solve problems and improve his or her job.
4. Perform and coach root cause problem solving analysis for production related problems using Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) methodology
5. Balance the workload in the production areas using load charts or Yamazumi Boards.
6. Manage and revise standards for each production process and make deviations from those standards transparent
7. Consult with order management on the usage of production schedule leveling or by it''s Japanese original term -Heijunka.
8. Review and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
9. Consult with manufacturing, industrial and quality engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and the quality of our products
10. Enhancing automation with a human touch or Jidoka in assembly, test and paint with the goal of increasing First Pass Yield
11. Keep management abreast of progress, developments pending problems
12. Increasing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE ) of equipment and machinery
13. Perform and contribute bottom up Shop floor management.
14. Use and enhance visual trigger methods.
15. Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, provide training and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence, discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
16. Manage and confer with supervisors to coordinate the activities of hourly, non-exempt, employees engaged in the production or processing of heavy duty diesel engines, such as engine assembly, test and final team members.
17. Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
18. Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
19. Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
20. Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety and environmental regulations
21. Manage new engine build programs as needed.
22. Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Tognum Integrity Code.
23. Perform special projects as required.

Qualifications:
Required: 1. Bachelor''s degree in Industrial and/or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years of leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing and high complexity production environment; or 10 years of experience in leadership, experience in an industrial manufacturing and high complexity production environment 2. 5 years working experience within a Lean Production System 3. Proven Leadership and management skills 4. Experience in a leading role in an implementation of a Lean Production System 5. Excellent knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods 6. Excellent knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources 7. Excellent analytical and problem solving ability when issues are very complex 8. Excellent organizational, planning and follow-up skills 9. Excellent coaching skills and the ability to motivate others 10. Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills 11. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others 12. Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours. 13. Proficient with PC, controlled systems and MS Office Suite Preferred: 1. Knowledge of MTU products, policies and procedures 2. Wxperience in low volume production 3. Knowledge of heavy duty diesel engine assembly or automotive engine assembly

Daily work is performed in an office and general manufacturing environment. This position has a traditional work schedule that requires five (5) eight (8) hour days during a Monday through Friday work schedule, as business requires.
While performing duties of this position, the employee is regularly requested to sit, and regularly requested to activate a keyboard or mouse within the work environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
