Vital Embedded Software Engineer

Essential Functions /
Responsibilities:

-Software engineer responsible for definition, development and integration of embedded software application -for use in train communication and control systems.

-Will design, implement and test software, ensuring quality specifications are met.

-Will participate actively in design and code reviews.

-Will use configuration management tools to control software and changes to software.

Basic Qualifications / Requirements:

- BSEE or BSCS required.

- 5-10 years experience in embedded software development using C/C+
programming language is required.

- Experience with GreenHills or other equivalent cross-compiler.

- Experience with MicroC/OS-II or other equivalent RTOS.

- Experience with developing Safety critical applications following DO-178B or Cenelec compliant processes

- Experience with version control system such as StarTeam required.

- Experience with software requirements management.

- Must be able to work in a team (Agile Scrum) environment.

- Must have good verbal and written communications skills.

Desired Qualifications

- Working knowledge of communication protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, CAN, HDLC

- Working knowledge of embedded file systems

- Experience with Coldfire Microprocessors and BDM Emulators

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
