Summary
The Analytic Consulting role will work with internal and external business partners to interpret the regulatory reporting requirements and develop effective validation process to ensure compliance with regulatory rules.
This position will function as a subject matter expert for the regulatory reports delivered internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Use SAS, Access and Excel to produce quarterly / monthly trending reports as well as ad-hoc reports.
- Establish GL reconcilement process
- Collaborate with programming team to implement any new regulatory rules update
- Review, assess, and interpret the validation result
- Plan, test, and review the new report development
- Create plan to achieve controls and automation objectives and participate in all aspects of implementation
- Identify department needs for controls and automation and summarize actions required
- Perform trend analysis and raise questions to internal data providers to ensure data quality
Requirements
- 6
years reporting and analytical experience with a Bachelor's degree
OR
- 3
years directly applicable work experience with a Masters degree in a related field such as applied mathematics,
statistics, engineering, physics economics or computer sciences
- 4 to 6 years progressive experience with SAS/SQL with focus on querying, analyzing and interpreting result
- Advance user of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Visio
- 1
year experience transforming data using XML
- Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong understanding of financial and internal data controls
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with Regulatory Reporting (Federal Reserve, OCC, SEC, etc.)
- Experience with the General Ledger and data reconcilement to regulatory reports (e.g. Y9C)
- Experience with credit risk associated with commercial and retail loan products
- 5
years of experience in financial services industry
