The Lead Business Intelligence developer is responsible for the conceptualization, design, and implementation of a sound technical architecture, which includes both hardware and software components. The BI Lead interacts with the Project Management and design teams early in the development effort in order to understand the scope of the business problem and its solution. The BI Lead must always consider both current (stated) requirements and future (unstated) directions. Having this perspective helps to ensure that the architecture can expand to correspond with the growth of the data integration solution. The BI Lead should have the following qualifications
o Translates strategies into deliverables
o Prioritizes and balances competing priorities
o Results-oriented individual who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment
o Must be able to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
o Has in-depth knowledge of the tools and technologies used in BI solutions
o Establish best practices and standards for data warehouse architecture and design
o Ability to translate functional requirements into technical design specifications
o Ability to develop technical design documents
o Translate business requirements into reporting solutions
o Comprehensive understanding of relational and dimensional database design
o Strong Business Analysis and problem solving skills
o Coach and mentor other team members to develop their BI skills
o Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Structures (Zachman/TOGAF) or equivalentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
