Senior Group Counsel - Labor and Employment
The candidate will provide subject matter expertise and legal service principally relating to North America labor and employment matters to management, Human Resources and Legal in more than one segment of the Company?s business. Counsel and advise management, HR and Legal regarding labor and employment-related matters. Prepare responses to and represent the Company in connection with administrative complaints/charges filed with state and federal agencies (including EEO, wage and hour, FMLA, etc.). Assist in further refining process for the Company to effectively and efficiently respond to such administrative charges and complaints. Assist in developing efficient, sustainable process for the Company to respond to audits and investigations (including FMLA, OFCCP, I-9, etc.) conducted by state and federal agencies. Prepare Company submissions in response to such audits and investigations. Support Director to identify, prioritize and facilitate improvement and/or implementation of compliant enterprise-wide HR policies, processes and practices. Manage U.S. employment litigation matters for the enterprise. Negotiate demand letters received from counsel for current and former employees. Determine whether HR-related matters require legal services, including outside counsel participation, and secure and manage such services efficiently and effectively. Determine whether HR-related matters should be litigated (offensively or defensively) or whether settlement efforts should be made. Structure and negotiate strategic dispute resolutions and settlements. Monitor and recommend continuous improvements to existing Company process for investigating internal employee HR-related complaints. Supervise investigation of high risk employee HR-related complaints. Monitor and keep abreast of trends and changes in the law as reflected in judicial precedent, legislation, and government regulations affecting the Company, and assist in communicating such changes to management, HR and Legal to formulate actionable improvements and to ensure compliance. Assist in developing training sessions and related educational tools for HR and Legal teams in North America regarding preventative law and compliance to reduce Company exposure to legal risk. Manage outside counsel in Canada and Mexico on employment-related matters in such countries. Interface with and provide support to Labor Relations professionals on traditional labor law issues. Effectively execute other labor and employment-related legal services.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
