Job Summary
Qualified candidates are responsible for the overall front-line support of maintaining blowmold, auxiliary and plant support equipment to its full potential with minimal downtime. This individual requires a complete and overall knowledge of upstream/downstream processes and the ability to instil good manufacturing practices and guidelines into final product through leadership by example.
Specific Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Follows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Amcor No Injuries Safety Contract and as trained. Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and managers. Properly uses all required personal protective equipment. Ensures that all maintenance personnel are properly trained and aware of potential safety and/or health risks.
Keeps the Site Manager informed of individual employee accomplishments and developmental needs.
Directly responsible for providing direction and supervision to the maintenance employees. Directs the repair, maintenance and modification of plant equipment, as well as building and grounds. Establishes daily priorities for maintenance staff including nights and weekends.
Assists in the handling and resolution of employee complaints, questions and suggestions.
Responsible for on-the-job training of maintenance employees as well as the development and implementation of levels training programs.
Maintains all required documentation for the maintenance tasks including but not limited to MRO cycle count, FMS PM tracking, and FMS work order system.
Facilitate the Joplin Smash Trash team and provides management with reports and status.
Manage Park List and follow up on open items.
Complete enviro chart.
Ensure parts room is organized and part inventories are accurate.
Keeps each management informed of scheduled and unscheduled downtime. Monitor key programs to devise continuous improvement.
Ensures management, organization, and cleanliness of maintenance areas, maintenance storage areas, parts rooms, and boneyard areas including; timely disposition of idle/unused assets and proper disposal of scrap metal.
Maintains manuals for all pieces of equipment and up to date electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics for all machines.
Ensures BIC set ups are in place for all changeovers. Efficiently utilize staff to ensure downtime (planned and unplanned is minimized).
Writes maintenance work instructions to ensure consistency in maintenance job performance.
Respond to after hour calls on an as needed basis. This includes carrying a company provided cell phone to respond to after hour calls, which may result in onsite visit to address emergencies.

Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent technical degree preferred.
10 years related experience.
Proficient computer skills, familiar with excel, word, and powerpoint programs.
