Job Description
The main responsibility of this position is to ensure
the AN/SPY Radar Signal Processor/Antenna
equipment is operable and available. This position
coordinates with the AN/SPY Radar Systems Engineer
for signal processor and antenna matters. Additionally
this technician assists the AN/SPY Radar Systems
Engineer in identifying, isolating, and repairing the
signal processor/antenna equipment problems.
Functions:
Perform AN/SPY Radar Signal Processor/Antenna
equipment assessments.
Ensure AN/SPY Radar Signal Processor/Antenna
equipment is activated, operational and properly
configured to support each test event
Identify and resolve AN/SPY Radar Signal
Processor/Antenna equipment and documentation
discrepancies
Submit AN/SPY Radar Signal Processor/Antenna
equipment status reports
Provide training on AN/SPY Radar Signal
Processor/Antenna Planned Maintenance System
(PMS)
Assist in the resolution of AN/SPY Radar Signal
Processor/Antenna logistics issues
Review existing AN/SPY Radar Signal
Processor/Antenna related test procedures and
recommend changes
Assist the AN/SPY Radar Systems Engineer during
test conductions
Assist the AN/SPY Radar Systems Engineer with
collection and analysis of AN/SPY Radar Signal
Processor/Antenna performance data
Provide the AN/SPY Radar Systems Engineer with
bserved equipment and computer program
discrepancies for potential inclusion within Availability
Observation Report (AOR) process
Maintain current status of all unresolved AN/SPY
Radar Signal Processor/ Antenna AORs
Support crew familiarization with AN/SPY Radar
System signal processor/antenna equipment,
maintenance, and operations
Basic Qualifications
Must have experience with the following:
Expert knowledge of AN/SPY radar system,
configurations and interfaces
Advanced knowledge of the Aegis Weapon System
(AWS)/SPY interfaces
Expert knowledge of SPY Radar/Signal Processor
testing procedures
Ability to analyze SPY radar test results and report
findings
Capable of administering crew training when
required
Ability to conduct fault isolation procedures for SPY
radar
Travel may be required up to 60 percent of the time.
Must in physical condition to support embarkation on
U.S. Navy ship underway.
Candidate should possess strong problem solving
skills and be able to learn from experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security
clearance.
Candidate will be subject to drug screening as per
company policy.
Desired skills
Experience with Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Signal Processor Equipment.
Experience working with MIL-SPEC and COTS
equipment/systems.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
