The Guest Services/Front Desk Representative provides prompt and efficient check-in and check-out for our guests and promotes customer service through a working knowledge of all hospitality services. He or she ensures guest satisfaction by acting as the main point-of-contact for all guest requirements and requests throughout the period of stay.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of previous hotel/hospitality or customer service experience. Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Engages hotel guests to enhance the service experience through all outlet services within the lobby area (such as the Restaurant & Bar, Front Desk, Business Center, Lounge, etc.)
-- Processes guest check-in and check-out in an efficient and courteous manner
-- Responds to guest requests for special arrangements or services (such as transportation, reservations, or dry cleaning) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers
-- Responds to special requests from guests with unique needs and follows up to ensure satisfaction
-- Gathers, summarizes, and provides local area knowledge to inform guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and local activities
-- Contacts appropriate individual or department (such as a Bellperson, Housekeeping, or Food & Beverage Server) as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems
-- Performs other duties as assigned by managementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
