Summary:
The primary function of this role is to provide oversight for the current architecture, and needed re-architecture of FlowScanner product hardware and software platforms. The development model to manage is primarily through one or more contract design houses who will develop and box build the product under this role's guidance and direction. The current platform is ready to go through a major update, and the plan is to include MOV testing capability, among other things.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop long term direction for FlowScanner product platform based on marketing requirements.
Develop detailed technical requirement specifications for software and hardware design and enhancements.
Establish, implement, and practice Fisher ISO accountable development processes; leveraging process and expertise from the Fisher Instrument Business Unit.
Product document control and archiving includes but is not limited to the use of EDOCs, Visual Source Safe and Share Point repositories.
Firmware or software maintenance responsibility to be managed by proper incident tracking and change control review processes.
Establish appropriate test plans to verify product meets performance and reliability requirements as required.
Coordinate and lead development projects with external suppliers, managing both technical and commercial aspects of the relationship.
Recommend and select vendors to deliver mechanical, electronic, firmware and software services.
Provide production technical support for design qualification, performance and testing needs.
Assist in investigation and resolution of software issues.
Review and support creation of instruction and technical manuals.
Oversee the establishment of standard manufacturing procedures in coordination with selected suppliers to insure all design aspects meet quality and third party approval requirements.
Interface with operational personnel on product design, manufacturability and quality.
Work closely with Procurement and site purchasing to ensure that technical requirements are fully incorporated into implemented designs. Use established product development and change systems to achieve.
Establish supplier performance metrics in terms of specifications and capability.

Job Requirements
Education / Experience Required:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred with demonstrated software and mechanical aptitude. Good business aptitude.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Good working knowledge in one or more high level programming languages (Visual Basic, C++, etc.) is desired, but not required.
Control valve operation and evaluation experience a plus.
Must be proficient with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must have a strong appreciation for and understanding of data acquisition and analysis techniques.
Must have the ability to document technical requirements, test plans, assemble project file documentation, and maintain design control in accordance with company ISO standards.
Communication skills
Facilitate the flow of information regarding product design.
Ability to negotiate and manage third party design firms
Accounting
Generate cost/benefit analysis of product design.
Supervisory Requirements:
Will manage the Flowscanner support group. One software engineer, one calibration technician, and one trainer/operator.

Normal office environment
Physical Demands:
Conduct normal day to day office physical requirements including deskwork and laboratory testing activities. Periodic travel is a requirement including traveling to third party design and manufacturing sites. Travel to customers and service center locations required with the Product Marketing Manager to develop product specifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
