This is a full-time internship beginning in June for a period of 9-12 weeks.

The MAH Communications Intern''s role will include the following:
Assist with communications projects in support of Merck Animal Health's U.S. business.
Liaise with the public relations agency and internal stakeholders who support communications activities
for Merck Animal Health products.
Provide support, as needed, for marketing team and/or agency.
Write internal and external communication documents and presentations, as needed.
Coordinate the archiving of materials, such as news releases, fact sheets, standby statements and
backgrounders.
Conduct research in support of communication initiatives and contribute to analysis of information,
as directed.
Maintain trade media distribution lists by business unit.
Qualifications
Education:
Currently pursuing a minimum of a B.A. or B.S. in Communications, Public Relations or related major.
Recent grads will be considered as well.
Required:
Must be available from June, 2014 to August, 2014
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Project management experience
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Ability to communicate confidently with internal stakeholders and levels of senior management
Experience with digital filing systems (network drives, teamsites)
Understanding of animal health or agriculture-related industries
