Job Description:
The Produce Sales Representative will support the sales department within a multinational company in the process of selling produce and fresh fruits within the US and Canadian markets meeting quality, price and delivery goals.
This position will also require logistical coordination and negotiation.
Potential for advancement based upon the employee's performance.
Position Reports to:
Domestic Sales Manager Perform Other Duties as Instructed by Supervisor:
Yes Responsibilities & Duties:
Coordination with various logistical entities including transport companies and cold storages.
Market analysis of the US market, maintaining and updating knowledge of foreign supplies, the domestic market, and client requirements.
Investigate new opportunities for the company.
Will be immersed into the International Business Arena.
Eventually, may travel within the US and to foreign countries in order to gain a better knowledge of suppliers, customers and of the market itself.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a buying and/or selling department, preferably in the produce- food industry Preferred bilingual in English / Spanish California driver's license (no DUI or drug convictions) Strong work ethic and ownership mentality and results driven Highly autonomous and proactive, self- starter Good negotiation and learning skills Well organized, and detail oriented Preference to work in a high paced, multicultural environment Must be a team player Able to establish long term business relations with suppliers and customers Strong intellectual and analytical skills Education:
