Responsibilities:
Perform monthly financial closing and analysis.
Calculate and explain monthly financial variances for the plant.
Interpret operating results and make recommendations to Operations on cost center spending and efficiency improvements.
Responsible for preparing work papers, schedules, and journal entries to support the monthly closing process.
Develop annual and ad hoc manufacturing standards.
Communicate effectively as an official spokesperson for finance on all plant finance issues.
Deliver clear and articulate presentations that include defending positions on controversial topics.
Partner with Plant leadership to develop sound strategic plans, budgets, projections and working capital forecasts while maintaining viable contingency plans.
Qualifications Requirements:
The position requires a detailed understanding and comprehension of manufacturing cost accounting.
Required BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Previous experience in supply chain finance role a plus.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting requirements (US GAAP and SOX) and processes.
Understanding of internal control and compliance standards as it impacts business decisions and financial results.
Strong SAP knowledge and advanced skills in Excel.
BPC and BOBJ experience a plus.
Ability to work cross functionally with multiple business partners and be proficient at managing relationships and influencing colleagues.
Financial management with experience analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance to all applicable standards.
