Job Summary
Quality Engineer will ensure that materials, processes, and products meet or exceed UMC's quality standards while employing the use of continuous improvement methodology.

Essential Functions
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Quality Engineer consist of but are not limited to:
Responsible for the preparation, review and approval of all quality documentation; i.e. First Articles, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Certifications as required for submission by customer
Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements through the design and implementation of methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
Serve as a Quality Assurance representative to the Materials Review Board (MRB)
Leads the Measurement System Analysis for all gauging methods selected for new or current production components. Analyzes the data using QC Calc software and reports results to the team. Develop and maintain the approved Gage R&R documents
Analyze failures, Corrective and Preventative actions in response to Customer complaints and customer returns, manages the Return Material Authorization (RMA) activities, and initiates an Internal Corrective Action in the CAPA system
Perform quality related functions, such as internal and external quality auditing, root cause analysis, and performance testing as needed
Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement
Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer
Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses
Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures
Support Procurement in reviewing supplier performance and monitoring supplier quality
May compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities
Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans
Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented
Supports the effort of the Process FMEA and documents this activity to comply with customers requirements
Lead the development and maintenance of SPC data collection, analyze capability studies, and work closely with the machinist and engineering group to improve their manufacturing process to meet the capability index desired.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements - 2 year technical degree/diploma
Preferred - Undergraduate degree in Engineering or similar technical field
A minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing with emphasis on Inspection & Quality

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
