Candidate Profile
Responsibilities include:
Seeking dedicated Tier 3 PKI Systems Engineer who will be involved in the implementation, integration, maintenance and support of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and its services into the Sandia National Laboratories system environment. The successful candidate will be involved in the maintenance and support of an Entrust Root Certificate Authority (CA) infrastructure; which includes the Entrust Root CA, backup CA and directory.
Deploy, integrate, maintain and support PKI infrastructure which involves deploying software, integrating, configuring, documenting and supporting services; and handling escalated support issues.
The job will program in scripting tools to automate and enhance the services and may occasionally develop custom tools to improve processes or support new capabilities.
Create, modify, maintain, or provide input for technical documents such as but not limited to User Guides, build guides, adhering to Government technical, operational, and integration requirements and standards.
Responsibilities will evolve based on the demands of user-facing applications and mission needs and will require frequent customer interaction. The position will have limited supervision and requires the ability to develop work plans without significant direction.
Candidate Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 4
years of related experience or equivalent experience.
Experience in the following technical areas: Strong working knowledge of both Windows 7 and Windows 8; Programming and/or scripting such as VBScript, PowerShell, Autoit or WinBatch; Customer service focus required with strong interpersonal skills including excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize competing customer requests given deadlines and limited resources with demonstrated ability to meet commitments. Ability to handle multiple high visibility initiatives at the same time. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
Detail oriented with strong organization skills required. Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance is required.
Willingness and desire to learn PKI and encryption software packages such as Entrust. Strong working knowledge of digital certificates and strong authentication concepts and practices. Knowledge of Windows registry architecture. Working knowledge of MAC.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
