Each year, more than half a million Americans experience ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), out-of-hospital cardiac arrest or both. The majority of these patients fail to receive appropriate treatment for their life-threatening conditions within recommended timeframes.
Mission: Lifeline was created by the American Heart Association as a response to missed opportunities for prompt, appropriate STEMI treatment. Recently, Mission: Lifeline expanded to help existing STEMI systems of care incorporate out-of-hospital cardiac resuscitation into their systems.
Join our Quality and Systems Improvement Team and help champion this effort!
This new
position
will be responsible for the coordination of the development and implementation of regional systems within the state of Montana for treating ST-elevation myocardial infarction patients. The responsibility will include development of key partner relationships and customer relationships, to include key customers from:
PCI and Non-PCI hospitals
Quality improvement organizations
State health departments
EMS agencies
Payer groups and organizations
StateHospital Association Quality Staff
This is a grant supported position for a defined period of up to three (3) years.
Required Skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and build relationships within complex networks
Strong results orientation and ability to prioritize efforts towards key results
Strengths in collaboration and demonstrated ability to productively participate in a multi-disciplinary team environment towards common goals
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience in Nursing, Science, Healthcare, Public Health or related field.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in healthcare or in a public health-related organization: clinical, quality improvement, program development or EMS experience desired. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position''s educational requirement.
Knowledge of hospital processes, system improvement and systems of care
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout the state (20% overnight). Valid driver''s license and proof of at least minimum state required automobile liability insurance required.
