The Senior Project
manager
(PMO) provides oversight, direction and training for Merrill Technologies Groups corporate Program Management Office (PMO). This role is responsible for building corporate project management
services
to provide common organizational structure, processes, templates and project management expertise across the Merrill divisions. This
position
provides project portfolio direction, corporate-level metrics and tools to monitor and assess cross-company project performance of key programs across the Enterprise.
Overview: Responsible for oversight and guidance to Program/Account Managers across the Merrill Enterprise to meet all production delivery and quality requirements. Provide hands-on expertise to manage new large program launches across the corporation. Manage and report Merrill program portfolio metrics to
executive
Team on a monthly basis. Provide hands-on assistance for troubled programs when required. May act as the primary point of contact on significant client projects and may be required to fill in and manage projects in the absence of an assigned program/project manager.
Accountabilities: Maintains oversight and development of all project managers and project management processes, methods, tools and techniques. Leads all MTG facilities in continuous improvement of production/manufacturing schedules, customer on time delivery, accuracy of
job
estimating and customer service communications. Monitors all related metrics to continuously evaluate and adjust to meet goals as specified by the management team, including special assignments. Manage execution of complex projects in manufacturing and business operations. Lead cross-functional teams in execution of project plans.
Authority: Authorized to make minor purchases related to the function of the department and to work in cooperation with other departments on the acquisition of major resources as needed to make
jobs
profitable.
Environment: Typical office environment with shop floor and vendor exposure. Frequently working at manufacturing locations in
michigan
with additional time spent at assembly facility and vendors.
Physical Demands: Physical stress is minimal. Mental stress is moderate to high due to the potential
impact this position has on customer satisfaction and future business.
Duties: Oversees production, manufacturing engineering, assembly and supply chain management activities to identify and correct problem areas.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred) or Business Management. PMP Certification.
Skills: Leadership, communication, organizational, motivational, and business accounting skills. Strong experience in expediting, planning, problem solving and executing plans. Strong
computer
skills including Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project, etc. Able to track programs through MS Project. Ability to quickly identify and assess troubled programs. Ability to manage large and/or multiple projects, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to switch between tasks quickly. Able to lead cross-functional/divisional teams in execution of project plans.
Experience: Solid knowledge of project management, manufacturing and ERP systems, product launch, supplier development, inspection, and continuous improvement. Engineering background and process development. Cross-functional leadership roles. Experience managing employees and complex manufacturing tasks with short deadlines in a highly compressed delivery schedule. Solid knowledge of industry specific requirements, standards and specifications. Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors

Preferences: Masters in Business or Engineering. Eight to ten years managing 10
employees in a production environment. Minimum of five (5+) years of experience leading a project management organization at the manager level. Experience working with government contracts preferred. Cost accounting and schedule management.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
