for the ITW Professional Brands and ITW Fluids North America locations.
By helping to actively drive key Human Resources program elements, the Human Resources Manager contributes significantly to the company's goals and objectives. With the combined efforts of the Division HR and plant staff, the Human Resources Manager will manage and support the day to day transactions and policy administration relating to all phases of the

life cycle activities.

The Human Resources Manager
position
is a generalist role and will be based out of the ITW Professional Brands, Olathe, Kansas location. Incumbent will work with location plant management to serve the Human Resources role for four locations in the U.S.; Kansas,
new jersey
, Illinois and
iowa
.
Core Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and analytical support to ensure successful implementation and regular monitoring of Local, Division and Corporate HR programs and processes.
Use resources through Corporate HR and affiliations to maintain knowledge of employment regulations and reporting requirements affecting human resources function and ensure policies and procedures are in compliance.
Create and conduct required employee HR training. Administrator for employee e-learning and legal training requirements. Training/meetings conducted via in person, group meetings, webinar, and/or video conferencing
Implement Division HR strategies.
Work closely with management and team members to drive and sustain culture initiatives that focus on engaged employees, positive work environment, increased productivity and retention.
Manage the recruiting and hiring process for internal and external hires from job requisition to on-boarding activities. Manage third party recruitment activities and temporary staffing contracts and orientation.
Maintain employee information, personnel records, and HR files. Process employee data in the HRIS, create and maintain employee reports.
Administer and communicate employee benefit plans on the local level based on eligibility as defined by business unit and corporate programs.
Manage employee performance management program and compensation review.
Manage leave of absence programs from issuance of applicable documentation to employee's return to work eligibility. Manage Worker's Compensation claims including risk management activities, claim handling, reporting, and third party administrator communications.
Maintain employee time and attendance reporting program. Coordinate management of attendance infractions with Supervisors.
Process basic payroll data timely and accurately to Corporate payroll department including payroll adjustments and withholding/ garnishment responses.
Conduct timely, thorough and objective investigations into employee relations issues. Forward escalated issues to HR Director. Authors discipline letters and ensure discipline process is followed per company guidelines.
Act as an employee advocate on issues/concerns to managers/supervisors.
Conduct exit interviews and manage separation process for terminated employees.
Respond to unemployment claims including representing company at hearings.
Respond to correspondence from state agencies and applicable institutions.
Develop and maintain Affirmative Action Plans including maintaining records, logs and data per requirements.
Actively participate on team coordinated employee and
community
service activities.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees based on trust and credibility. Ensure positive company image.
Provide employees assistance with day to day questions that arise.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Multi-site travel is required for office visits, open enrollment, training, or to perform other job duties, Varying from 20% - 40% throughout the year.
## Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and minimum 5 years related work experience or equivalent work experience in HR Generalist role. HR Generalist work experience within the manufacturing environment preferred.
Fluent in the use of HRIS systems required. Workday and Dayforce a plus.
Excellent
computer
skills required with MS Office suite software and Outlook. Accurate data input.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an effective and active listener and have effective interpersonal, persuasive, and analytical skills. Professional communication skills across diverse cultures and managerial levels.
Able to maintain composure under pressure and in dealing with emotional or confrontational circumstances.
Skilled in conducting presentations in an individual and group setting. Experience in organizing and conducting webinars a plus.
Able to work with little or no supervision.
Able to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, adapt to change and manage time accordingly where tight deadlines may be present.
Possess attention to detail and excellent work ethic.
Possess initiative and ability to anticipate and problem solve independently and collaboratively.
