For more information about Fannie Mae and our career opportunities, visit JOB INFORMATION The Single-Family Credit Business Unit CFO Group consists of a team of dynamic finance professionals responsible for the on-going analysis and support of the products and programs of the Credit Organization. The analyst will partner with stakeholders throughout the company including the National Servicing Organization, Modeling and Analytics, Controllers,
accounting
Policy, and other divisions to create accurate and timely analysis related to the Credit Organization's business results and additional ad hoc financial analysis . KEY JOB FUNCTIONS Contribute to and consult on standard and ad hoc analyses designed to support critical business decisions. This may include cost / benefit analyses of various credit programs, establishing new reporting guidelines and /or frameworks, process improvement, analyzing new initiatives, or analyzing the expansion of current program offerings Engage with key stakeholders to acquire business or financial data for analysis and related information; ensure accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting for critical business advisory purposes Develop technical and project oversight expertise; analyst will play a key role in carrying out analyses needed to accomplish specific reporting, oversight, or process
control
objectives, and will be responsible for presentation of results to key business stakeholders Provide analytical, quality control, and review/oversight support to facilitate end to end processes for new and existing Credit business initiatives. Analyst will engage with Credit business, Accounting Operations, Accounting Policy, and Cash
management
functions to help support existing efforts or build new processes with a focus on operational excellence. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 4 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data and identify how such information will impact future business results and strategies. Self-starter mentality, ability to work independently, and motivation to learn new techniques, skills, and knowledge required by duties and responsibilities. Ability to perform in high pressure environment. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and address ad hoc requests independently. Strong project management skills a plus. Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and experience querying and analyzing large databases required. Functional experience with SAS, SQL, or Business Intelligence tools is required. Cross-functional business skills, excellent facilitation and communication skills, strong influencing skills, and ability to effectively present to and work with senior management. Experience working with large complex data sets. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
