Under the direction of the company's Director of Corporate Compliance & Ethics, this attorney will assist in the continuing development of the company's compliance and ethics program consistent with U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and company parent requirements by focusing on the monitoring, assessment and further development of compliance management and oversight across a broad spectrum of regulatory compliance areas (e.g., FCC and FTC regulations). Responsibilities will include: identifying new regulatory/legal compliance requirements, assessing current compliance efforts and implementing compliance plans across a spectrum of regulatory compliance areas; designing and updating compliance programs in key compliance areas, such as FCPA, OFAC, and Government Sales; overseeing/conducting compliance risk assessments; developing and delivering compliance training; designing, auditing and monitoring programs in specific compliance risk areas; advising business units on legal compliance requirements; developing, reviewing and revising policies; and raising the level of awareness of compliance within the company.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
