Ruby on Rails Developer Do you want to work on an open source greenfield development project? One of the largest entertainment companies in the country is developing a new product from the ground up. The software engineer will be part of a team developing the rich media and mobile applications for this new product line. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity. The developer will be responsible for the development of new application/products and customization of our existing platform Help build our emerging platform on Ruby on Rails and latest open source technologies Able to work on multiple projects at the same time with minimal direction Work in a TDD/pair programming environment Customize, build, manage, deploy and provide post-production operational support for the emerging platform Required Experience and Skills: Minimum 3 years of web application development experience Extensive Ruby on Rails experience (Ruby 1.9.3, Rails 3.2 ) Experience with JavaScript, Jquery, AJAX, HTML5, CSS Self-starter and experience working in a startup environment Experience with SQL or PostgreSQL Strong OOD and MVC experience Experience working in Agile environment Strong analytical skills Preferred Skills: Open Source Technologies Cloud Deployment, Engine yard or Heroku and chef Scripting Memcached and elastic search Unicorn and Nginx Git source management system Ruby Developer, Ruby on Rails Developer, RoR Developer, Software Engineer, Web Developer, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS, Agile, Chef, Heroku, Git, Memcached Ruby, RoR, Ruby on Rails, Python, Perl, JavaScript, NoSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, mobile, Andriod, iOS, Scripting, Ruby Developer, Ruby on Rails Developer, RoR Developer, Web Developer, NoSQL databases MYK62683JREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
