Responsibilities
The UI/UX Designer and Developer will participate in the design, implementation and testing of multiple web-based SaaS software products. The ideal candidate will be a talented designer who has the skill not only to create high quality graphics and web designs, but the ability to apply their creations to a user-centered design for web-based and data-driven software products. A strong graphic designer portfolio is a good start, but our client is looking for more than just GD experience. Excellent html and css knowledge, and the ability to position and control UI elements are necessary, along with an understanding of how to construct designs flexible enough to display within dynamic web-based software products and support multiple browsers, screen sizes, platforms and devices.

Specifically, s/he will:
Lead the design and development of web-based software applications
Solve all sorts of design challenges with creativity, efficiency and precision; a full stack designer (interaction, usability, graphic design, html, css).
Work with customers and the development team to provide UI and UX Design expertise.
Create original and dynamic designs for web applications focused on user experience.
Utilize web design skills that show creativity beyond applying third-party templates.
Provide strong interaction design skills: wire framing, prototyping, HTML5, CSS3.
Collaborate with others and work well with developers and product management

Professional Qualifications
3- 5 years of UX design experience (and the portfolio to prove it) as a key, hands- on interaction/visual designer of a UI/UX team through the product development cycle of successfully launched web, mobile, and/or software applications.
Must be self-directed, confident and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, both written and spoken English, with both technical and not-so-technical people. Ability to explain why a design works or why it doesn't.
Think outside the box and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be part of a highly talented development team
Experience in the complete software development lifecycle of web-based software
Agile, Extreme, Scrum experience preferred
Experience in development of rich User Interfaces for externally-facing web-based software solutions
Experience with SaaS product development is a plus
Experience with cloud technologies a plus
Knowledge and/or Experience with HTML5, CSS3
Knowledge and/or Experience with mobile device application development is a plus
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, Kendo, etc) is a plus
Demonstrable skills in problem solving and working in a fast-paced software development environment
Must be a team player, and have excellent communication skills
Attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
