Summary:
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Office
Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily entry and analysis of associate health records into a computerized system.
Processes all Laboratory, Radiology, and Company Care reports and follows up for compliance with associates.
Verifies receipt of proper authorization before release of medical information.
Responsible for maintaining proficient flow during new associate orientation at health stations and during day to day visits into the clinic.
Maintains current health records and eliminates terminated records.
Reviews associate records for completeness.
Maintains records in electronic software record retention system and arranges for off-site storage of terminated records if necessary.
Assists co-workers in the preparation of meeting material and reports.
Assists with developing forms and typing policies and procedures to comply with regulatory agencies.
Performs audits on scanned records in electronic software record retention system.
Arranges for destruction of scanned items in accordance with scanning procedure.
Prepares necessary purchase orders, supply orders and maintenance repair requisitions for the efficient operation of Employee Health Services.
Works cooperatively with Human Resources and keeps informed of pertinent information on new hires, leave of absences, and terminations.
Assists with other functions in the department as required.
Maintain professional demeanor at all times.
Read and comply with all policies and procedures and personnel policies as stated.
Understand and demonstrate compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Understand and demonstrate the twelve (12) behavior standards for Embrace the Spirit.
Clinic
Responsibilities:
Reports abnormal findings to the physician, PA, NP, RN, and/or LPN.
Performs clinic procedures as assigned within the scope of LPN training.
Demonstrates competency in tasks and skills required for this position.
Keeps the exam rooms clean, disinfected, and stocked with supplies as needed.
Collects throat cultures and instructs employees regarding specimen collection if needed.
Recognizes medical emergency situations that may occur and takes appropriate action according to protocols.
Coordinates standard laboratory testing as needed.
Collection and labeling of all urine and drug screen specimens if necessary.
Reviews and charts lab test results.
Recognizes unexpected results, errors, problems, and alert values and takes appropriate action.

Qualifications:
Qualifications Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Graduate of Licensed Practical Nursing program.
Microsoft computer training and work experience beneficial.
Licensure/Certification:
Holds current Nebraska License for Licensed Practical Nurse.
Current CPR certification.
Experience/Pre-Requisites:
Previous medical office experience preferred.
Knowledgeable of computer with proficient word processing skills and proficient Microsoft Excel necessary for data entry.
Ability to operate office equipment, to include telephone, fax machine, computer terminals, copiers, etc.
