Event Coordinator

We are looking for an Event Coordinator to join our team to coordinate our increasing event and meeting business. The event coordinator reports to and works alongside the Conference Services Manager. This is a full time hourly position at a growing company with commission opportunities, vacation/wellness days, opportunity for advancement, and complimentary skiing.

Summary:
The Event Coordinator is responsible for meeting set-up and servicing to ensure a successful experience for our clientele. She/he will be responsible for writing and updating banquet event orders (BEO) for all conferences. She/he will also be in charge of ordering and accommodating all ancillary services and client request including but not limited to: catering, audio visual, presentation aids and outside activities. She/he may be asked to assist with other duties in the sales and marketing department.
Core
Responsibilities:
Ability to speak with clients to gather all details for the event and compose a BEO.
Ensure meeting space calendar accuracy.
Set-up/Tear down of event space and refreshes for events.
Keeping track of products, such as linens, and order more as needed.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move equipment as needed.
May be asked to assist with various sales projects and tasks as directed. These may include data entry, writing sales forms and contracts, supply organization and maintenance.

Exceptional customer service skills
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with a Customer Relationship Management System (i.e. Salesforce.com) and a Property management System preferred.
Experience in hospitality or event/meeting planning.
Knowledge of resort, mountain market and local attractions and amenities preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Ability to work after hours, weekends and holidays.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
