Engineering Specialist - Reservoir - Oxy (Bakersfield, CA)
Located in the southern portion of the San Joaquin Valley, the Elk Hills business unit is a key factor in Oxy's position in California as the largest natural gas producer and largest oil and gas producer on a gross-operated basis.
This position is responsible for the following tasks:
Inputting, maintaining, performing QC, extracting, manipulating, and analyzing production surveillance data; Recognizing variations, deviations, opportunities from the data; Creating and utilizing spreadsheets and databases; Using other analytical tools.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Minimum education of an Associate's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Access.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated effectiveness as a team player.
Strong oral and written communication skill set.
Additional
Qualifications:
Five years of work experience with a basic understanding of oilfield operations and reservoir surveillance.
Knowledge and use of routine Oxy applications, such as OpenWells and DSS.
