Part-Time / Full-Time Description The Attractions Attendant position at Island Waterpark ensures the safety of all patrons participating on waterslides, or on non-aquatic attractions, inside of the waterpark.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Support the safe and orderly use of park attractions, such as water slides, zipline, and other attractions, in accordance with safety standards Safeguard and regulate the conduct of waterpark patrons Enforce waterslide rules and proper riding position.
Dispatch attractions accordingly.
Respond quickly, intelligently, and decisively in accordance with established emergency and accident procedures Must be alert and actively seek to prevent accidents and eliminate risk Attend in-service training as scheduled Perform work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures Operate equipment safely and report any unsafe work conditions or practices to waterpark leadership.
Must communicate with patrons professionally and courteously to answer questions, resolve conflicts and enforce park policies and rules Maintain regular and reliable attendance Provide friendly, energetic, courteous, and engaging service to waterpark guests.
Outfit zipline guests with a properly fitted harness, helmet, trolly, and all other gear.
Provide clear instruction and explanations as to the proper usage and function of the equipment Double check guest rigging for any guest errors prior to attaching them to the zipline.
Explain zipline processes to guest, demonstrate and explain proper form and technique.
Basic Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be safety minded and focused Strong attention to detail Must work well under pressure and high-stress situations Must be able to stay focused on task for long periods of time; be alert Excellent communication skills Essential Duties & Responsibilities.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
