Respond to emergencies and local public health occurrences of an urgent nature during and outside of the standard hours of operations.
Establish work methods and standards; make recommendations on hiring of staff within the department; schedule and issue work assignments; review and evaluate work performance of personnel; identify employee skills and training needs, prepare plans for adequate training and assure organizational and individual goals are achieved; interpret and administer department policies and procedures, including the adjustment of employee grievances and resolutions of workplace issues and concerns.
