Job Summary The Tower Crane Operator is critical to the jobsite flow and a growth opportunity in the field of construction framing.
The Tower Crane Operator works in tandem with the Superintendent, forklift drivers, and crew leads to ensure material is lifted efficiently and safely.
Duties:
? Supervision Depending on the project, supervise and train rigger worker(s) who support the crane operations and picks.
? Crane Management Oversee all crane operations, daily maintenance, and safety for the assigned crane Prioritize and organize the craning project flow and picks with the Morin superintendent and jobsite crews Prepare your crew and jobsite for the next day by staging material, securing tools, reviewing plans, and planning with the Morin superintendent.
Proactively work with the jobsite forklift driver to ensure the jobsite is organized, the material is staged correctly, and the crew has the material they need on time.
? Schedule Fully understand project craning plan and schedule.
Maintain the craning schedule and recommend needed changes.
Prepare the project daily and maintain the lifting pace to keep crews moving productively.
? Communication Attend regular meetings with team leads and crew to communicate instructions and plans for the week and set goals.
Regularly communicate any updates or urgent issues related to craning the project.
? Safety Understand commercial construction OSHA requirements and violations Attend daily safety meetings with the crew Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met on the jobsite related to the craning of material Hold all crew members accountable to proper OSHA regulations related to cranes.
Identify safety violations and address them immediately.
Report recurring or major safety violations to the project manager.

Qualifications:
? NCCCO Certification - Tower Crane ? Good physical condition and stamina ? Ability to communicate and report effectively ? Knowledge of general construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines Preferred
Qualifications:
? Bilingual (Spanish) ? CDL Class A or B ? Mobile Crane Certification ? Self-starter personality and excellent problem-solving skills ? Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints ? Proven experience as a construction framer ? High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter, etc.
) Physical Requirements:
? The employee must communicate and exchange accurate information interpersonally or through communication devices.
? The position requires frequent movement and the physical ability to lift and carry items weighing approximately 50-90 pounds; climb and work from ladders; bend, stoop, and work around wood dust and fumes in inclement weather conditions.
Must be able to remain stationary 75% of the time.
