com Tradewind Aviation is currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant at our Oxford, Connecticut headquarters.
This position reports to the HR Generalist.
This individual should be a highly organized self-starter able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
This role will interact regularly with all Team Members and departments.
The ideal candidate will be able to able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Assist with Onboarding & Offboarding functions for all team members.
Conduct criminal, motor vehicle and Pilot Records Improvement Act (PRIA) background checks.
Assist department with new hire induction process.
Responsible for foreign permits.
Manages pilot uniforms.
Manages Known Crew Member (KCM) and Cockpit Access Security System (CASS) benefits.
Maintains pilot records including passports, medicals, driver's license.
File electronic documents in HRIS system.
Performs audits of HRIS system to ensure all employment files, Time Off Policies, employee groups, EEO, and ACA are set up appropriately.
Set-up and implement modules in HRIS system.
Review and update all job descriptions to new template, and update into HRIS system.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Provides clerical support to the HR department.
Assists with preparation for New Hire Orientation classes.
Conduct Verification of Employment requests Update Human Resources PowerPoint Presentations Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Preferred experience in human resources.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Strong multi-tasking capability Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 lbs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
