You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
GS-09:
One year of specialized experience directly related to this occupation equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as assisting in the management of environmental permit workload that may include pre-application consultations, evaluation of permit applications, monitoring of permit compliance, and violations and enforcement actions. OR Successful completion of a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as ecology, biology, physical science, or archeology. You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification). OR Specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; and more than one year but less than the required education. The percentage of the requirements that you meet must be at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. One year of specialized experience directly related to this occupation equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as applying governing environmental/resource laws to include the Clean Water Act, Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, Endangered Species Act, Magnuson- Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, National Historic Preservation Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act; assisting in the management of environmental permit workload that may include pre-application consultations, evaluation of permit applications, monitoring of permit compliance, and violations and enforcement actions. OR 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as ecology, biology, physical science, or archeology. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
