Senior Systems Engineer

Description Primary Function:
Ensure the stability and integrity of GIS Infrastructure and systems.
Provide input in technical design sessions that relate to managed systems.
Create and update project related artifacts such as diagrams and system documentation.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Perform advanced systems administration.
Monitors and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of system performance.
Oversee and implements appropriate level software installations, upgrades, and related software packages.
Collect and reviews system data for capacity and planning purposes.
Support the configuration of complex system landscapes.
Recommend and implements appropriate solutions and enhancements to ensure an improvement in system reliability and performance.
Develop and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current.
Oversee the maintenance of a library of system-supporting process and procedure documentation.
Interact with Production Support and Business groups to answer questions, problems, and requests regarding complex system issues.
Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
Design, install, configure, support, optimize, and administer server operating systems and applications.
Create, maintain, and audit system documentation.
Provide support and maintain communication to business units for IT related support functionalities.
Work collaboratively to analyze project needs/requirements and recommends solutions to enable enterprise integration of systems and applications.
Communicate with vendors to obtain system configurations, quoting, and support; maintain and communicate project plans and status updates.
Resolve help desk tickets as assigned and provides 24-hour on-call support for problem analysis and resolution to system problems on a rotational basis.
Must comply with law, company policies and procedures, and the highest ethical standards.
Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline is required.
Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
4
years experience with VMWare is required.
4
years configuring site to site replication is required.
4
years experience with F5 load balancing is preferred.
4
years experience with cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS or Azure is preferred.
4
years experience with PowerShell systems management is required.
7
years enterprise (100
users) experience with designing, implementing, managing, and supporting MS Windows XP/2000/2003/2008 is required.
Implementing server based solutions in a high traffic, mission-critical environment is required.
Demonstrated abilities in complex troubleshooting, high availability systems and capacity planning in a production environment is required.
Demonstrated knowledge managing and troubleshooting Windows Server and Microsoft Clustering is required.
Must maintain a high quality of work while supporting multiple critical projects.
Must display a helpful demeanor, attention to detail, customer service orientation, and demonstrate the ability to be a contributing team member in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding client information; ensure proper destruction of confidential documents, and compliance with Personally Identifiable Information (PII) rules and regulations.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time is required.
Ability to type at a computer terminal and view input is required.
Ability to speak on the telephone is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
