Application System Engineer/Administrator W2 ONLY-THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT WORK W2! The Application System Engineer/Administrator is responsible for ensuring service transition and service operations functions of our ERP environment and systems.
This resource will provide timely support to ensure smooth daily operation of all our business applications.
Demonstrated experience in maximizing the ERP value proposition by identifying and recommending mostly functional and some technological solutions to improve business processes.
The successful candidate must be able to handle tasks of medium to high technological complexity.
This resource acts as a subject matter expert, provides production support and is a continuous improvement catalyst for one or more ERP functional areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
User Access Management (Any ERP Security, 4 years working knowledge and MIM and/or Forefront Identity Manager, 2 years working knowledge, Microsoft Excel 2 years working knowledge).
Release and Deployment Management (Any ERP Deployment, 4 years working knowledge and SharePoint Work Flow Creation, 2 years working knowledge).
Systems Availability Management (Normal Windows Troubleshooting, 2 years, Excel and PowerShell, 2 years working knowledge).
Knowledge Management (SharePoint Work Flow Creation, 2 years working knowledge).
Responsibilities:
Design implement application access security of user accounts for all enterprise IT systems following defined standard procedures.
Ensure that account provisioning systems have accurately generated accounts where provisioning has been automated.
User role definitions - the grouping of users by function, or role, enabling role-based permissions and access authorization.
User management workflow - the ability to define a process for user management that includes multiple levels of delegation, review and approval.
Performs security audits/reviews and updates system as required.
Participates in system deployments, minor and major releases and system upgrades.
Assist in system testing of upgrades, patches, new modules and Implementations.
Troubleshoot performance issues, investigate critical system errors, capture traces, and analyze logs.
Investigate and make recommendations to improve service availability.
Participate in continuous-improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality.
Build and maintain ownership of knowledge base for commonly encountered issues within applications.
Write and update technical documentation.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS:
BS in Computer Science or Engineering; or 4 to 6 years of work experience in Microsoft shop.
Professional certifications (Microsoft MCSE; MCDBA; etc) are a plus.
Preferred experience with any ERP security Experience in managing MIM and/or Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) environments Excellent SharePoint Administration and Workflow Design and Implementation Exposed to day to day Windows 2008 Server Troubleshooting Microsoft Excel skills Macros, Vlookup and Pivot Tables Working Knowledge of PowerShell Preferred ITIL Foundation Certification Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
