Job Description :
We are seeking a Chief of Obstetric Anesthesia for its team of Physicians.
This role is both academic and Clinical.
This hospital is an 806-bed teaching hospital located in the Long Island area of New York and is academically affiliated with the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.
This facility provides the full spectrum of clinical health care services for patients of all ages and offers a wide range of specialty and subspecialty residency programs, postgraduate training programs and clinical fellowships for research and education.
Position Requirements:
o Work with residents on OB and help with the residency program (committees etc.
).
o Be the overall service line leader for OB between the 2 campuses o Be involved in teaching at the medical school o Drive research and academic activities within the OB service line o Provide a few days for clinical work at the campuses o Help to develop an OB anesthesia fellowship o Assists in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department o Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures o M.

O.
Degree from an accredited College of Medicine o ECFMC and FLEX- Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia o Currently licensed as a Physician in the State of New York.
