CNC Lathe Machinist Programmer
Kelly Engineering Resources has an outstanding direct hire opportunity for a CNC Machinist Programmer with strong experience in Lathes /Turning Centers.
In this role, you will join the NW Suburban location of a manufacturer of seal, bearings and other types of fluid power components.
Job Scope of the CNC Lathe Machinist Programmer:
3-5 setups per day of Haas, Bridgeport, Mazak and Okuma lathes.
Operate Machinery in mix of short and long productions runs (10-200 components) Hours:
1st shift, 6:
00 AM - 2:
30 PM, minimal overtime Essential Responsibilities of the CNC Lathe Machinist:
Setup and program CNC Lathe Machinery for yourself and for other operators with less experience.
Create and modify simple to complex programs using CAM software, M- Code and mazatrol Determine process method, tool needs, tool feeds, speed, etc.
Set up equipment, install tools/fixtures, makes machine controls settings, run first piece sample parts and check for required specifications and run the jobs.
Select and load test programs, modify or edit programs Switch our tool and fixtures Design and fabricate tools/fixtures for CNC machines Standardize tool usage Fabricate new tools/fixutres using manual or CNC lathes, mills, saws, grinding equipment.

Read blueprints/production schedules, work instructions, routings Check quality using calipers, micrometers or other inspection tool Trouble shoot problems, respond to alarms, retrace program to locate errors and make corrections.
Qualifications of the Successful CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer 3
