Sonalysts, Inc.
is seeking candidates to join the Analysis and Engineering team in our Waterford, CT location.
In this role you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of radar engineers and subject matter experts to conduct research, design, test and evaluation of naval surveillance radars and navigation systems.
This includes all phases of system development, including integration, validation and verification of radar capabilities and components.
General responsibilities of the team include:
Research of modern system, software, hardware, and information assurance requirements Design, execution, and post-mission analysis of radar test events, both live and simulated Technical risk assessment of 3rd party radar designs and architectures Performance analysis of antenna equipment and digital signal processing algorithms Analysis of modern radar interfaces, message protocols, and high speed switch networks What's In It For You? Qualifications:
The candidate must have an understanding of fundamental radar principles and demonstrated success developing complex electromagnetic systems.
The candidate should be familiar with modern systems engineering processes, and have experience collaborating with highly technical customers on system development projects.
At a minimum, the candidate must possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, math or related technical discipline At least 3 years relevant experience in radar systems engineering, design, analysis and/or test U.

government security clearance Any of the following qualities are also highly desired:
Master's degree in engineering or computer science, with concentration in antenna/radar coursework 10-15 years relevant experience in radar systems engineering, design, analysis and/or test Experience conducting data analysis in MATLAB on theoretical models, synthetic data sets, and live measurements Experience collaborating with Government agencies on tactical software development projects Exposure to information assurance (IA)/cybersecurity technology and engineering processes Exposure to with CMMI and Department of Defense (DoD) engineering processes Demonstrated success on radar-related proposal development, business capture, or Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) projects Experience operating and maintaining S-band and X-band radar systems, specifically on naval surface ships, submarines, or other mobile military platforms Please verify U.
